The steel has the characteristics both of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel, compared with the ferrite, plasticity, higher toughness, no room temperature brittleness, resistance to intergranular corrosion and welding performance are significantly improved, while also maintaining iron qualified stainless steel 475 ℃ brittleness and high thermal conductivity, with superplasticity and so on.
Compared with the austenitic stainless steel, high strength and resistance to intergranular corrosion and resistance to chloride stress corrosion performance of duplex stainless steel has improved significantly. Duplex stainless steel has excellent resistance of pitting corrosion , but also a section of nickel stainless steel.
Because of its anti-chloride corrosion performance, commonly be used in seawater media.
There are 2205,2507 two kinds of material in market.
-2205 corresponds to the casting material grade ASTM A890 4A, forging material grade ASTM A182 F51.
-2507corresponds to the casting material grade ASTM A890 5A, forging material grade ASTM A182 F53
